MISSION: Compassion was inspired by a photographer
who spends his free time capturing incredible images of homeless citizens, but it doesn't stop there. He asks their name, engages with them, listens to their individual stories about how their life has come to be. His photograpghs and stories travel to various galleries, his message is to give a voice to the voiceless. The project is titled the I Have A Name Project.
Compassion was born. As a way to show these people they are cared for and not forgotten, we collect essential every day items, place them in a simple backpack and distribute them on the street.
In order to fund the compassion bags, Compassion Beads began. They are to be worn or given as a reminder to practice compassion. Every bracelet sold funds a giving bag that will be distributed locally. We encourage the idea to spread.
